Questions about therapy
How long are sessions, and how often will we meet?
Sessions are about 50–55 minutes. Many people start weekly, then move to every two weeks or monthly as things progress — we’ll find a rhythm that suits you.
Do I need a referral?
No — you can reach out directly and book a free intro call whenever you’re ready.
Are sessions covered by insurance?
They aren’t covered by OHIP, but most extended health benefit plans cover a registered psychologist. We provide direct billing for most insurance companies.
What approaches do you use?
Evidence-based approaches including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)— chosen collaboratively for what you’re working through.
